    Complete your purchase or pay your retainer to secure your order, celebration date, or artist consultation.

  • 3. Design & Finalize

    Collaborate and Customize your selection with with our artist to bring your vision to life. Tell us your theme & thoughts.

  • 4. Pickup or Delivery

    Pickup, local delivery,m with the DMV. No shipping. Artist will travel for on-site creation and installation.

Need A Rush Order?

A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required for all custom orders.

Orders placed within 13 days may incur a rush fee based on availability.

7 days or less is considered an Extreme Rush Order and is subject to approval, availability, and additional rush fees.

What started as a passion for baking quickly grew into a purpose-driven business dedicated to celebrating life’s most meaningful moments. Founder and CEO Kristen Pugh believes every cake tells a story, and every celebration deserves something extraordinary.

Born and raised in the DMV, Kristen is more than a cake artist—she is an educator, mentor, nonprofit leader, and creative visionary. As the Founder and Executive Director of The Bake Program DC, she empowers youth through hands-on baking, entrepreneurship, and life skills. She also dedicates her career to supporting and teaching exceptional children on the autism spectrum.

Today, Kristen leads The Cake Studio as CEO and Lead Cake Artist, creating luxury cakes, cupcakes, and edible art that transform milestones into lasting memories. Whether she’s designing a custom masterpiece, mentoring the next generation of bakers, or serving her community, her mission remains the same: to inspire, create, and celebrate life’s sweetest moments.
